As part of its social responsibility, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) – Bahrain announced its support to the London Breast Care Centre through a generous donation. London Breast Care Centre provides support to women to conduct the necessary screening for diagnosis of breast cancer, which also goes in line with the culture of promoting early prevention and contributes to facilitating the treatment journey.

KFH–Bahrain is committed to leaving a positive impact on the local community by adopting various social and charitable initiatives. This comes as part of the Bank’s committed efforts towards contributing to social & community development, and goes in line with the official directives aimed at activating the role of private sector institutions in various aspects, as well as supporting cancer patients and their families.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Mohamed Fahmi Hamad, Executive Manager of Operations, IT and Corporate Communications at KFH-Bahrain said: “We are honoured to be supporting such a cause towards individuals who need proper diagnosis and the necessary screening for early prevention of breast cancer with the London Breast Care Centre as we hope such support will reduce their financial burdens needed for this treatment. We are aware of the extent of the suffering that patients and their family members undergo, and the need for continuous screenings as part of the patient’s treatment plan. Therefore, this contribution comes as part of the Bank’s desire to contribute towards enriching the lives of individuals in our society.”

This contribution will help facilitate the treatment of many patients, due to the great role that early detection plays in preventing this disease or contributing to a cure rate of up to 90%.
