Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) recently celebrated its 10th anniversary during a gathering attended by all the Bank's employees under the theme of "Celebrating 10 years of Bringing Banking to Life". Along with the Vice Chairman, Shaikh Mohammed Bin AlShaikh Ishaq and Mr. Yaqoob Majed, Board Member, more than 283 employees attended the gathering at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Spa. Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, the Managing Director and CEO of KFH-Bahrain, opened the meeting and said, "I offer my personal appreciation and gratitude, along with my colleagues at KFH-Bahrain, towards the Chairman of the Bank, Mr Bader Al Mukhaizeem who has given us tremendous trust and guided us with diligence and a huge portfolio of experience as well as KFH-Bahrain board members and KFH-Kuwait for their continued support to KFH-Bahrain activities. Also, I would like to thank every member of the KFH-Bahrain family for their dedication and hard work over the last ten years. Finally, KFH-Bahrain extends its thanks and appreciation to CBB for its continued support to the Islamic banking sector and for providing a suitable environment for it to achieve its goals." Mr. Alkhayyat emphasized on the importance of the knowledge and education gained by KFH-Bahrain employees on Islamic banking, "this is the first pillar of conducting ourselves right and demonstrate to the rest of the world that we know what we are doing when we say that we are an Islamic Bank. We work to make sure that this education finds its place in our hearts before it penetrates our minds. And we have spoken on many occasions about the importance of education and spread the meaning of Islamic Banking." Mr. Alkhayyat added "the opportunity exists for a lot of the people who are here today to head this financial institution, other financial institutions or investment companies. I totally believe in you and your capabilities and I am very positive that many of you will be leaders in Islamic banking and finance". The highlight of the meeting was a series of recognition awards which was presented by Shaikh Ishaq, Mr. Majed and Mr. Alkhayyat. These included 115 long serving employees (10 years and 5 years), social committee members, as well as all employees who have obtained academic and/or professional degrees during their years of service at the Bank.
