Kuwait Finance House (KFH) participated in the ceremony marking the 20th anniversary of King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Centre (KHCC) that was held in the Jordanian Capital, Amman and attended by His Majesty King Abdullah and a number of princes, prime ministers and officials.

The participation is part of the agreement and cooperation with Kuwait Red Crescent Society and King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Centre to cover the treatment of cancer patients as well as support the implementation of different social activities.

In remarks at the ceremony, Her Royal Highness Princess Ghida Talal, the chairperson of the board of trustees of the Foundation and Centre, expressed appreciation for KFH’s contributions and support.

At the ceremony, KFH Media and Government Relations Executive Manager, Mohammed Alfaris stated that the social and aid efforts by KFH to King Hussein Cancer Foundation and Centre is part of its social responsibility and within the framework of its commitment to achieve the highest standards of societal development.

Alfaris stressed KFH’s strong track record of supporting community initiatives inside and outside Kuwait, highlighted by the agreement with Kuwait Red Crescent Society through which KFH provides support to execute aid and medical projects in Jordan in cooperation with the Jordan Red Crescent. The agreement covers winter clothing, medical aid, Kuwaiti doctors’ participation in surgical operations, provision of one year food supplies, a clinic, treatment of cancer patients in need and other social activities.

He revealed that KFH has lately participated in Iftar Meals initiative in the Jordanian capital, Amman, distributing iftar meals to 1000 families, in addition to distributing Eid clothes in the form of purchase coupons and organizing entertainment and educational events with gifts for children.

He paid tribute to the extended cooperation with Kuwait Red Crescent Society that resulted in the various implementation of joint strategic social initiatives inside and outside Kuwait, proving KFH leading and pioneering position in social responsibility which is in harmony with Kuwait’s reputation and its global prominence in giving and instilling the values of humanitarian efforts.
