Underscoring their commitment to enhancing opportunities for Bahraini students, KFH-Bahrain hosted a reception lunch at the Ritz Carlton for the 2nd Annual Sophia Antipolis Science Park Mentorship Programme. The programme is a joint initiative between Kuwait Finance House- Bahrain, Young Arab Leaders Organization (YAL) and InJaz Bahrain, a non-profit youth development and training organisation which sends 16 Bahraini students on an intensive leadership training course to Sophia Antipolis in France, Europe's top science and technology park. General Manager of Kuwait Finance House-Bahrain, Mr. Abdulhakeem Alkhayyat, said, "The overwhelming positive feedback from the students of the first ever Sophia Antipolis Mentorship Programme in 2006 has been the catalyst to continue the Programme as an annual event. Not only will students be immersed in the global institutions, universities and research centres at Sophia Antipolis but will face challenges and daily interactive seminars on topics such as entrepreneurship and team work. This is a life changing experience" The eight male and female students aged between 17 and 18 have been chosen based on outstanding academic performance, recommendations by the student's current school, participation in an InJaz Bahrain Company Programme and a qualifying mark in the Young Enterprise Cambridge International.
