Kuwait Finance House, Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain), a leading Islamic commercial and investment bank, today announced its sponsorship of the MTC-Vodafone E-learning Centre at the University Of Bahrain (UOB). In support of the project, KFH-Bahrain General Manager, Mr. Abdulhakeem AlKhayyat presented a cheque to Doctor Sheikha Maryam Bint Hassan Al Khalifa, President of the University of Bahrain. The funds will help to finance the establishment of the Centre, which is being developed at a cost of BD 60,000. The MTC-Vodafone E-learning Centre, which is currently under construction, and is expected to be launched by early next year, is designed to provide students with access to world-wide learning resources and links. Commenting on the sponsorship, Mr. Alkhayyat said, "KFH-Bahrain is delighted to support the development of this State-Of-The-Art e-Learning Centre. At KFH-Bahrain, we believe it is important to support the various educational centres and universities within our community in order to ensure that our youth are well equipped with educational resources that provide them with greater support throughout their studies and help to prepare them to take on meaningful roles and careers in the future." Doctor Sheikha Maryam Bint Hassan Al Khalifa, President of the University of Bahrain, added, "We would like to take this opportunity to thank KFH-Bahrain for the interest and financial support they have invested in the development of our e-Learning Centre.
